Summertime around Boston is a beautiful time of year. Boston, Cambridge and Watertown, as well as all the surrounding towns, offer many activities for you, your friends and your family. The area is so much fun, it’s beautiful and the best part of all, everything is just a short walk away. We have come up with some of our favorite things to do in the area. All of which are no more than an 8 minute walk away: You can’t beat that!

#1 Explore Cambridge and Boston on the Bike Trail
Mass DCR Bike Trail (0 miles / <1 min)
One of the best amenities 192 Pleasant Street offers is its proximity to the Charles River Bike Trail. The trail runs 27 miles from directly behind the property to Cambridge passing Harvard, MIT and downtown Boston. The trail offers numerous points of interest and spectacular views of Boston along the way.

#2 Take it to the River

While you’re sitting atop your 3rd story roof-deck enjoying the beauty of the Charles River from above, you might just get the urge to explore what it has to offer just downstream. Summertime is short in New England and what better way to take advantage than to see Watertown, Cambridge and Boston from the river? Kayaks are also available for rent nearby at Charles River Canoe and Kayak.

#3 Cool Off at Dealtry Pool

No better way to beat the heat than to cool off in an Olympic sized swimming pool. The Dealtry pool has something for everyone with an adult lap section as well as a wading pool for younger swimmers.

#4 Go on a Picnic at How Park

Enjoy the warm summer sun with a picnic basket and blanket at How Park. The park features a tot-lot, playground, soccer field, and basketball court all situated on a 1.6 acre lot.

#5 Climb at Central Rock Gym

Looking for an entirely new and different way to push yourself to new heights (quite literally)? Look no further than Central Rock Gym less than ½ a mile from 192 Pleasant Street. Along with rock climbing lessons for all ages the gym offers yoga and fitness classes. For the more adventurous types, they also organize outdoor climbing trips.
